Finding Balance in Developing Spaces
In our latest photo series, we explore the contrast between human movement and urban development. This project captures the dynamic energy of youth against the backdrop of evolving cityscapes.
"The city grows around us, but in these transitional spaces, we find freedom of expression through movement."
The Concept
This photoshoot examines the relationship between:
- The fluidity of human movement
- The rigidity of urban construction
- Temporary spaces that exist during development
- Youth claiming space in changing environments
The Location
The setting—a construction site on the outskirts of the city—was chosen deliberately for its transitional quality. Neither complete nor demolished, these spaces exist in a liminal state that mirrors the journey of young adulthood.

The Athletes
Our subjects, Mikhail and Anton, are not professional models but urban athletes who practice parkour and freerunning. Their authentic relationship with urban spaces brings genuine emotion to each frame.
"We don't just move through the city—we interpret it. Every wall, gap, and structure is an opportunity for expression."
— Mikhail, featured athlete
Technical Approach
For this series, we employed:
- Natural lighting supplemented with minimal reflectors
- Medium-format photography to capture environmental details
- A mixture of action shots and composed moments
- Subtle color grading emphasizing the contrast between organic movement and industrial settings
Exhibition Information
This series will be featured in our upcoming exhibition "Urban Canvas: Bodies in Transition" opening next month.
